Eddie was born the eldest of five children to Isobel and Edward Mc Erlane on 19/06/1954. The family lived in Milan Street, on the Falls Road area of Belfast. A GURNEY BABY! according to mum Bell, hence 3 year gap before next brother Christopher was born. In quick succession came only sister Sally and younger brothers, John and Paddy. A happy childhood in those wee streets gave Eddie a strong sense of family values, a good work ethic and a love of life and GOOD CRAIC. Eddie worked in numerous bars in Belfast city center throughout the "Troubles" and thankfully - remained unscathed.
